10 Things you can do to change the world.

Posted on Nov 7th, 2008 by BreJoy : Everchanging BreJoy
(NaturalNews) Are we capable of living in a society that is free of money? Imagine...if this is possible? Actually, it is inevitable. A society based on one person having more than another is an outdated, highly flawed system that must go.

It is incredibly difficult for any of us to fathom a society free of money because our whole way of life revolves around it. It is difficult to imagine how things could be distributed fairly when we have never seen it as a possibility. Yet we also have to remember that our great grandparents could not have imagined cars, the internet or mobile phones.

So how can we be a part of the transition from a world based on money to a world based on equality, where everyone is entitled to the gifts that Mother Nature has provided us? How can we get closer to a model where abundance and unity override scarcity and fear?

Here are some steps that we can take for real change (REAL CHANGE!)

1.
Avoid pharmaceutical drugs as much as possible.
These companies as a whole are not interested in true health, their main agenda is profit. Every dollar/pound/euro etc spent on reputable, naturally healing products rather than drugs is money spent on real change.

2.
Buy local.
Many people don’t even live in an area that has local businesses, but if you do, support the little guy rather than the multinational corporations. Even if it costs a little extra, it is worth it if possible. Corporations are at the core of the system that believes one person should have more than another.

3.
Get your money out of the most unethical banks.
Citibank, JP Morgan and Bank of America are some of the worst. If you live in the UK, put your money in the Cooperative Bank or Smile Bank, both of whom are as ethical as a bank can possibly be. Search out the most ethical bank near you.

4.
Stop watching the mainstream news.
The media is just propelling the lies that we are told. Fox News, CNN, NBC, BBC, and most other news stations are owned by corporations who have a profit making agenda. If you want real news, get on the internet and find independent information.

5.
Don’t allow yourself or anyone you know to join the Military!
People in the military are fighting for corporations, not the people. There is an incredibly high suicide rate among those who have been in the military, and a quarter of all homeless people are veterans. When everyone on the planet has equal access to resources, there will be absolutely no need for war.

6.
Support the energy companies as little as you possibly can.
Look for alternative sources of energy. Sun, wind, and water are all viable ways of getting clean energy. The only reason why we are not using them right now is because powerful energy, oil and gas companies will become obsolete. Walk as often as you can rather than driving, this will improve your health and make small but incredibly powerful changes. Fly as little as possible; get smaller more energy efficient cars.

7.
Reject the political system.
The whole voting frenzy at the moment is just a way of making people believe that they are going to get real change. If you look at the companies who are contributing to both McCain and Obama’s campaigns, many of them are the same. Both presidents will inevitably make decisions based on profit rather than the good of humanity. Politics is a lie and the only real change will be seen when money does not run the world. We must focus our energy on how to transcend this failed system.

8.
If possible, figure out what you love to do, and then try and figure out a way to make money from it.
How can you make a genuine contribution to the world from your heart? What makes you feel creative and in the moment? While we haven`t transcended our financial system yet, we can at least begin this process by doing things that truly move us. When we are in touch with that "place" inside of ourselves, we are transforming the world. Working in a meaningless job for the mere purpose of financial gain is incredibly difficult to let go of, but you can work on and let go of the issues and beliefs that are keeping you there.

9.
Believe in abundance.
Everything that we need for every single person on the planet to live in abundance is right here. The only thing in our way is the financial system and the limiting beliefs that uphold it. The more we reject limiting beliefs about scarcity and money, the less we will have, and the less that all people on the planet will have. There is enough for all of us! Right now we must live with money, so believe in abundance without believing in money. It’s not easy because of our conditioning. But when our society is built on the belief that every single person is entitled to equally enjoy the resources provided by Mother Nature, and then we will see real change.

10.
Question everything.
Are your beliefs and ways of living in harmony with the planet? Are some of your beliefs outdated? Are there certain beliefs that make you feel superior or inferior to others? In order for true transformation on the earth to take place, we must all become conscious of our beliefs and our actions. Part of that is knowing that we are all connected and equal. Do whatever therapies, meditations, plant medicines or anything else you are drawn to that can help you become truly free of the limitations of the mind. The most important change has to occur inside of us. A transformation in our inner world will be reflected in our outer world

Good day everyone!

Posted on Feb 10th, 2008 by BreJoy : Everchanging BreJoy
I just got back from riding my bike for the first time in about 8 years. It is kind of true what they say about not forgetting. I only drove into the grass once and I even passed a couple people with only moderate difficulty. My bike had been in the family storage for a while, so I asked my dad to get it next time he made a trip over there. My heart rate is still up. I've been needing some cardio. Only doing yoga every morning, while healthful and helpful, isn't completely doing it for my body and I can tell. So I'm going to add some cardio in there. A good way to get some fresh air and explore my surroundings. Hundreds of years ago we knew each and every square inch of our environment within miles. These days we barely know what the next cul-de-sac down looks like. So I inflated the tires today so I could ride it and figured I might as well touch up the air in my car tires. Then I went to my Dad's truck. He just got brand new tires yesterday according to my mom, and they were about 10 psi under what they should be. You would think they would give you fully inflated tires, huh? Today is also the first day I get to smoke by myself since I stopped early December. I have smoked since being able to again after getting hired at my job, but that was with other people and when bowls keep going you tend to get too blown. I like to have just enough to heighten my senses and thought. It seemed perfect while riding my bike. Just letting my mind and body calm before tackling the dishes, and then probably a good book. Oh! and then maybe another small bowl and the raw cacao mousse I made today that's chilling in the fridge. The best part is I only have to share with my favorite person ever. Me.

When were you most touched by a ceremony?

Posted on Sep 17th, 2007 by BreJoy : Everchanging BreJoy
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 17, 2007:

I'm not sure about overall, but the most recent was last Saturday. I was in San Diego for Earthdance. There was a global prayer and Om, immediately followed by John Lennon's 'Imagine'. Amist the dancing, singing and joy, I heard I guy behind me tell my friend, "It trips me out that people don't want to live like this."
It's true. Some people flat out put down people that want to live in harmony. It's so easy. And it feels so good.

Earthdance

It was amazing. I wish it happened more than once a year. There were so many wonderful people in one spot. A wide range of awesome music, too. I wish I was still there. Part of me still is. I hope all that energy helped my lack of motivation. We'll see tomorrow when I start looking for a job again.

Earthdance 2007

Earthdance events are held all over the world. They will all take

"This year, the Earthdance “Prayer for Peace” will be followed by a unified global Om, as people across the world synchronize their voices with the intention of healing the Earth’s waters. To increase cohesiveness and provide a single, specific point of focus for the global community, the “Prayer for Peace” will be immediately followed by the recording of a fundamental tone (the specific human frequency of 125hz), which will serve as a foundation for people to tune into.
In addition to this frequency that will be audible on land, we intend to transmit the same frequency (via hydroacoustic transducers) to the waters of several major sacred rivers throughout the world (Amazon, Ganga, Nile, etc.) This gesture will be an attempt to “homeopathically resonate” the Earth’s water body with our global intention, and thus unite all life, both on land and sea.

Some interesting research in Japan, conducted by Dr. Masaru Emoto, has suggested that water may be receptive to words, sounds, and thoughts in the environment. According to Emoto, water can receive information and store it for future use, much like the silicon used in computer chips. This theory has interesting implications for the uses of collective consciousness toward the global effort to restore harmony in the environment. Is it possible to harmonize the energy field of our planet by focusing our voices and intentions in a vast global effort."

I would really like to participate in this.
There are meditation and yoga workshops, and all sorts of hippie things that I would love to be apart of. The event nearest to me is in San Diego, though. I'm so broke, but it might be worth it to spend my last $22 on my well being instead of booze or herb. I've been saving my last dollars for something worth it. This might just be it.

Everchanging

One of my shamanic power animals is a butterfly. At first I was a little put aside; i thought/hoped that I would be told my power animal is a wolf. I guess one of them still could be. That would be awesome.
Anyway, I was reading into it, and the butterfly represents transformation. Change. It makes so much sense. I've been changing nonstop since I can remember. I wonder if this change will follow me forever. I wonder if that means I shouldn't get too attached to anything. lol.

I've been pretty down lately. And on top of that, I've been mad at myself for being down. Which doubtlessly doesn't help. I was reading excerpts from a book; Practical Shamanism: A Guide for Walking in Both Worlds by Katie Weatherup.

"There is somehow an idea that our spiritual awareness should allow us to not experience the hurts of being human. I can say from personal experience that spirituality cannot effectively be used as a crowbar to ascend pain (i.e. make pain go way right this minute).

Although, I think my personal favorite irrational argument for not feeling anything but happiness is the emotional equivalent of telling children to eat their veggies because of the starving children in the world. Given how privileged so many of us are compared to people throughout the world, how dare we be unhappy- it’s self-indulgent and selfish. As though we help those less fortunate than ourselves by denying our full emotional range anymore than eating creamed spinach helps hungry children."

I've been kicking myself for being down when it's apart of being human. We were incarnated into these bodies to experience all they offer. I have all these chemicals in my brain interacting with each other, and I might as well appreciate all the feelings that manifest. I just wish they were more balanced.

That's why I'm trying supplements and other Ayurvedic remedies. It's just frustrating to try to find the right combination for me.

I hugged a tree today.
The most awesome tree I've ever been in the presence of. This tree absorbs negative energy and emits an overwhelming positive energy. I felt it while we were still driving to the house it is in front of. An intense pressure in my chest. A tingling at the crown of my head. An interesting thing was the size of this tree. While meditating, I felt the tree's presence as towering and great. But it was a relatively small, short tree when I opened my eyes. It was pretty trippy.
The tree healed the owner of the house of Hepatitis C. They've had numerous other testimonials of people that have gathered around this tree. That would be awesome if it gave me that gift. I can do without this debilitating anxiety and chronic back pain.

This is the Light Bearing Tree.

'home' now

Posted on Mar 19th, 2007 by BreJoy : Everchanging BreJoy
I arrived in LAX yesterday morning. The flight was 15 1/2 hours. It was better than the flight there, although it was still painful and just as long. I ran out of vitamin B halfway through the trip, so I didn't have any for the flight, that's probably why I'm so much more jet lagged than I was getting to Israel.
The trip was awsome. I didn't want to come back. I still don't want to be back. But I will go again someday. It might even be a candidate for a new home for me. I will miss the food for years to come. =D
My new picture is from the trip. I got baptized in the Jordan River. The same river Yeshua was baptized in. It was great, although it was the coldest water I'd ever been in. I'm glad I got such a good picture of right after the baptism.
My head is cloudy and I need to unpack, so I'm going to take some vitamin B, drink some tea and finish cleaning up.

Israel

Posted on Mar 5th, 2007 by BreJoy : Everchanging BreJoy
I leave for Israel tomorrow morning. At first, I was afraid to pack. Packing is stressful. But so what if I forget something? The only thing I really need is me. And well, my passport and plane ticket.
I'm so excited. The Holy Land. I hope I bring back lots of pictures and a lot more knowledge.
